The one where the guy in the red pickup goes to get his wifes new dresser and get's the bike so she starts to freak on him.
They only show the bike for a nano second but it looks like a Vetter Triumph. Whadda you think?
Sell the truck, divorce the wife and leave on the bike?

i would prolly give the truck to her, then get a divorce and leave on the bike. that way i could continue to make payments on it while she drives it. yup - i am a nice divorce, just ask my 2 ex-wives.

Definitely looks like a Hurricane to me. Good call. When I was in the AF stationed in England, three guys in my squadron bought brand new Hurricanes with sequential Serial Numbers. Really looked sharp all parked together in the barracks parking lot. They rode those bikes all over the UK and Europe. That was in 1974 IIRC.
When I read the title of this thread I thought you might be talking about the commercial where the lady and kids drive up to the dejected biker who has run out of gas. Turns out it's his wife.
Now who would buy that vehicle based on this commercial? It doesn't impress me - a woman and a rider. Can't imagine it would impress a woman who isn't a rider. Can't imagine it would sell a guy - rider or not.
I don't get who the target audience is. Makes both the woman and the man look bad. . .

It's one of these. Triumph X-75. Designed by Craig Vetter, who later designed the Windjammer.

Okay... We get the same quality commercials you get.
The guy gets a 4-pipes Honda 750 and puts the Louis XVI dresser in the back seat.
Yeah, I thought it was a Honda too. And I happen to like that commercial because 1. the guy is not unpleasant to look upon and likes bikes 2. he's driving my truck and 3. The guy is not unpleasant to look upon and likes bikes.

I don't know who the target audience is either for that commercial, but I do know that I laughed when I first saw it.

I keep wondering why his wife didn't just bring him a gallon or two of gas. But she probably couldn't stand the thought of his having so much fun! :stick Just kidding. My wife supports my hobbies and toys, and even comes along on occasion. :thumb :wave :thumb

I believe they only made about 1,050 X-75's. I really liked that bike when it was introduced but ended up buying a new Honda CB750.
Vetter designs had an influence on many items. More info: http://www.craigvetter.com/pages/Motorcycle_Designs/Motorcycle%20Main.html
What I find odd about the commercial is that the truck appears to have an 8 foot bed but yet is not able to carry BOTH pieces in the bed. :dunno

Actually, the commercial where the guy runs out of gas is trying to sell the minivan....it can "even haul a motorcycle!!" Wasn't in the script for her to bring gas.
Have you noticed how many commercials these days are including bikes? Usually just a fleeting glimpse but several are airing lately. Undoubtedly trying to capitalize on the growing number of bike riders watching.

This forwarded to me by a guy I know in TEXUS. Said she got the trailer and the truck, he delivered the truck yesterday,

Thanks Kbasa for clearing that up. Nice photo. The bike they show should have looked like the one in that photo. And what's up with the guy's face and all the mud all over it? It looks like he's been falling on his face all morning.
Just goes to show you what can happen when you don't drive a minivan.
