The owner's manual for my new R1200GS is almost as worthless as the tool kit. Does anyone know where to find a decent service manual for this bike?

the bike is too new to have anything real specific to it out on the aftermarket shelves yet. so it's either get something direct from BMW (i assume something has to be available), settle for a 1100/1150 generation book for much of the stuff and forget what doesn't pertain to yours, or go here to get what you can..... http://www.ibmwr.org/r-tech/oilheads/index.shtml

There's a guy who sells CD manuals on eBay for cheap. Assume they are bootleg.

I read on ADVrider that someone tracked down a manual from Nippy Norman's. Worth a Google...

Ps...the BMW Maintenance DVD at $135+ is fine as far as it goes...I needed the pictures...also get Jim VonBadens R1200 DVD...a great value and good info..
Just forget about getting anything of value about your bike from BMW...they are the black-hole of customer service..once you buy the bike they are done with you.

BMW has it on CD and there have been several editions so far. It includes all the R1200 twins.
