How do you get something added to the public calendar?

It would be nice if all the rallies in the Rallies forum could get added to the calendar. Can't you allow people to add events which go into an approval queue to be put on the public calendar? Or alternatively, could you create a Rallies calendar that would allow people to list events on it?

Thanks!

One of the other resource out there is the Happenings of the main website (http://www.bmwmoa.org/happenings/happenings.htm) and the rally list page itself http://www.bmwmoa.org/happenings/whereandwhen.htm

I know that the team is talking about the calendar feature, so thanks for the suggestions. :thumb

The When & Where page out on the main web site carries that information pretty well. Additionally, it matches with ON. By using our standard W&W protocol (send it to Sandy) we have one point of contact that will make sure both sides match.

Dave/Brad,

I am aware of the W&W and Happenings pages. But there are so many other events that occur through the year that never get on those pages. Maybe you could create a secondary calendar (vBulletin allows this) that would allow people to submit calendar events. Of course they would need to be approved before being added to the calendar. Just a thought.

Thanks, man. We should probably take a look and see how to assign rights to that.. Maybe allowing it for club presidents would be a good idea, as it would keep the listings somewhat clutter free.

Instead of just limiting it to club presidents, why not set up some moderators to keep things clutter free. Yes, I may have just volunteered.
