This was posted on the Airhead list by Tom Cutter whom I consider a very reliable source. I've done some searching but know nothing more than what you see here. I thought this forum would give it a little wider distribution.

MISSING RIDEROn December 29th, CINDY PARKER OF SANTA CRUZ, CALIFORNIA left Savannah, GA headed back to California via I-10. She was last heard from on December 31st in east Texas during a visit with a family member. If anyone knows of any BMW shops along I-10 from Texas to California, please contact the shop and ask them if they have seen her, either as a visit or for service problems. Her brother in New Hampshire is understandably upset that he hasn't heard from her.She is riding a 1994 Red R1100RS with BMW bags and a BMW tank bag. She is wearing a red BMW helmet and black leathers.Jerry Duke

Contact Jerry who will forward info to Cindy's family.Savannah, GA

I just saw this on another list so the word is getting out. I'm crossing my fingers that Cindy makes it home safely.

Why shoot! If she had had someone like Brad along, there would have been a day by day recounting of her travels posted on the Internet -- including pictures of her underwear hanging on the shower rod to dry.

Rick (I bet they have the "Come to Jesus" meeting with him before the next trip) in AL :stick

And not to forget, thank God she did arrive safely.

:rofl :rofl :rofl Oh my - THAT'S funny!

I am seeing on email lists that she is safe - hopefully more details soon. Apparantly she went to the east coast, purchased a bike and was riding it back. I did the same thing this past summer, (for the same model bike!) so this hits a bit close to home. It's nice to know that the riding community would be keeping an eye out for me if something happened.

That's assuming of course that I am not travelling with Brad :brad and having my every move documented and posted here! :brow :rofl

How many of us leave on long rides with out leaving an itinerary (if we even have one) with someone? I know I do all the time...maybe I should add this to my todo list this year. :uhoh

I have lifted the person to locate advisory. You have to admit that the internet is a powerful tool. :thumb

You rock, Blue Knight! Yes, it is a powerful tool. I am hoping that the reports of her being found are correct.

Mike, thanks for lending a hand. A very strong, powerful hand. We're ALL in your debt for being here.
