Hello to ALL---

I just recently picked-up my first BMW motorcycle an the 3rd of July. I'm a bit delayed at my arrival to the BMWMOA as until one of y good riding buddies made me aware of the magazine we get as a member is well worth the membership cost. I have to say just being able to read through the forum here is a great addition to the membership as well.

I picked up a 2010 R1200GS coming from an '07 Ducati Multistrada1100S. The BMW just is way more my size and riding style. I'm 6'3" 250#'s and always found the MTS was just a bit small. As far as riding goes I can put twice the miles under the beemer as I could the duc at pretty much the same pace while feeling more relaxed. It's amazing how versatile the GS really is. IT's a fantastic machine.

Glad to finally have made it here, to the group and the bike.

Erik,
Congrats on your new GS! In Jan I traded my 07 Multi for a GS and could not be happier. Enjoy your new bike, and try to wipe that smile off of your face.
Take care,
JC

Awsome forum you all have going here. Thank You for all the nice words, and the direct link to the part of the forum for the GS's. I'am having a real hard time wiping the smile from my face though, every time I think I have it under control I get back on and I lose all control of my facial muscles.:brad
