Riding in New Zealand

Hey all well traveled beemer folk,

I'm getting an opportunity to ride in NZ in the beginning of June.

Kind of stuck on North Island due to time constraints.

Like twisties and small towns. Any suggestions? (will have a 1150gs)

(yes, I do have the motorcycling through NZ book on order)

Suggestions? Take warm clothing. The beginning of June there is like the beginning of December in the Northern Hemisphere. It certainly does snow in the high desert on the North Island.
