I have a '74 R75/6 and want some wind protection. I removed an old Luftmeister fairing from the bike, too heavy and clunky (will be for sale on ebay soon). The best (but most expensive) option seems to be the Parabellum scout fairing. It looks like a slightly improved R90/S fairing. Light, unobtrusive, great style. Does anyone have any experience with this product? Anyone know how straightforward instalation is? Can the fork gaiters be left on with the fairing? Are the original mirrors compatable?

I have had one on my R100R for 12 years. It went on easy but the front end on a R75 is different. You should call them and ask about the mounting.

Have had one on a K75 for many years now. Fit and finish is first rate. The company is very good about taking back a screen if it is too tall or short, and trading for another. They'll also cut one down if the stock size is not perfect.
Mine comes off now and then, and it is easy - four brackets mount it. While on, it does a fine job, does not bounce around, and does not seem to weigh much. I keep one of each size screens to swap around as the seasons change. I can say though, that the little extra NACA ducts they can add in are not worth the extra expense, as you cannot feel any of that breeze come in if you wear any protective gear. As mentioned above, give them a call. The folks there have always been most friendly and helpful to me on the phone. Good luck.
