... is a fuel gauge that overestimates.

On the last day of the warranty, I had the BMW shop fix the fuel gauge issue. My gauge never showed more than half a tank, but it was accurate on the bottom half. I picked up the bike tonight. I then promptly ran out of gas on the way home, not making it back to the shop until after they closed.

Now my bike is sitting in front of their service door, with me hoping they actually correct the problem. Nice.

In the manual it states that the fuel indication is not accurate for the first half. Zero out the mileage each time you fill up and this will help to tell you how many miles you can ride ie. about 200. BMW is not known for their bullet proof fuel indication systems. I forget the gage and use the miles ridden.
