At the 2003 rally, a session on dismantling the R1150 engine was offered. My cousin took me to my first ever rally last year in Spokane and I thoroughly enjoyed it!!-- except for the absence of this session...We are both riding to Lima this year ... any chance that the session organizers can get this one back in the program?? Maybe even incorporate the changes going from the R1150 to the R1200.

Dick, I hope to be at Lima and if so, would be happy to dismantle your engine for you. :p Steve

The question is, what's it worth to you to have it reassembled? Also, who gets to do it?

Dick, I think the session your referring to was put on by Gary Smith and Al Vangura dismantling an 850 engine and an 1150 on display in pieces. Along with the tools and technical literature they have a van full of equipment which probably explains why they did not make it to Spokane since they are from Pittsburg PA. I doubt that you will see much on the 1200 yet, all of them are still under warranty. Lima's just around the corner from there so I would not be surprised to see them on the program. Gary also writes a tech column for the Owners News and has just started a series on the oilheads
