My bike is going in on its third major warranty repair in 2.5 years. This times it's the rear wheel bearing thats gone out. I'm glad the company is honoring its warranty claims but it seems like it would be cheaper for the factory to put things together right in the first place. Years ago I used to ride the old Brit bikes and accepted the fact that they would break down every so often but they were usually fixable by the side of the road and were cheap. A Gt however is neither so one should expect a little better quality for the money and the company cannot survive forever on a past reputation nor should it take its core customers for granted lest it go the way of NVT.

Dirty injectors & stepper motor. They changed left side switches again. It seems ok so far

Just finished a great 3500 mile trip to see my dad.
The new switches seem to be a problem ,my trigger high beam went out
I would have liked the old style without the failures.
Oh well still love my GT :heart

Mine has had a bout with the rough idle and dieing but I never took it in for the recall. The left switch bank, only the "resume" portion, fails on occasion. Sometimes at highway speeds with the cruise control on I feel it surging on and off to maintain the set speed. I used BMW fuel additive, but at twenty bucks a pop I only bought one bottle. Haven't had any problems with dieing since I got back from vacation. I think my problem was the air filter clogged with a million bugs. Yes, I counted.

Fuel pump on mine went out at about 7000 then 20000 miles. The bike showed some of the same symptoms as you describe before stopping completely.
