Hello - I have just purchase a 09 R1200GSA and really enjoy it. I living in Houston due to work - Just put in my first run of 1929 miles - Houston, TX to Mobile, AL to Bentonville, AR and back to Houston, TX - was a great ride through the hills of Arkansas. I am a old man with a new ride and can wait to do another run, when my job, wife, and vacation will allow. Admiral

Class of '07, GSA1200 here. Its a great bike and I've had time to ride mine all over NAmerica so far:). 53000m now. Me too, older guy:). I rode the Ozarks last year, into the backwods over there. Oark, Arkansas, if you find this place, you know you're in the woods:). I don't know if your Admiral means Navy in your life, but Navy family here, with my Lt. Daughter Navy Pilot in Pensacola and Submariner Commander Dad. Happy Trails to ya and the new GSA in Texas. Enjoy it. Randy

Welcome to the forum. You'll find an active BMW community in Houston. The local club has regular meetings at Hickory Hollow in the Heights and they usually have something planned. Here's the website:http://www.bmwclub.org/

If you haven't visited far west Texas yet, I'd highly recommend a trip to Big Bend / Davis Mountains. And you can reach Texas Hill Country in just a few hours ride from Houston -- it makes a great weekend destination if you haven't already been.

There are lots of highly experienced people here - knowledgeable about riding and wrenching -- I'm sure you'll find your forum visits as informative and entertaining as I have.

Welcome Admiral. You join a long list of BMW members from the great state of TX. There are several active BMW MOA Chartered Clubs in your area with friendly people who would make you feel right at home.

Hope to see you on the road.
