Hey all, I've got a '91 GS/PS with both the dual seat and the solo seat. I would like to put the solo seat on but can't figure how to.

Do I need to move the latch from the back rack, if so, how?

Merry Christmas!

When you install the RACK you bolt the seat lock-bracket to the anterior side of it. Two 8mm nuts hold the lock on. just like the rear rack but on the seat end of the larger rack. Am I sounding too vague, long day at work, need a beer.

Lemme back up. Now that ive had my pizza and beer I can tell you it has 4 bolts ,possibly allen, on the bracket that you have to move forward on the larger rack. You'll get it. leave the lock on the bracket when you move it forward and adjust the lock up and down with the two 8mm nuts to adjust your seat positioning. It will probably need a little encouragement to seat.

Yeah, I figured it out butt I wished I would have had the beer and pizza. I tried to force the seat tab into the lock and seems that I broke the pin in the lock. :cry

Well I'm headed to the Bentonville shop in the afternoon to deliever a friend to his new 12GS so I'll order a new part.

Thanks again for the help.

Man, and just 3 weeks ago I was hunting for a solo seat cause my crappy corbin split like a fat mans britches. RePsycle hooked me up pretty good.
So when you see my "Wanted" in next months ON Flea Market, I already Founce one!

Rich, solo still not comfy with the beads?

Beads cool!!! I like the dual cuz I can move around,to n fro.
Besides, momma likes to go for a ride now n then (80*+ no wind kinda day)...
The solo made my back ach. The big test was riding to Florida last spring.
I had a Corbin Dual and sold that too. Felt like riding in a bucket, sloppy side to side, and slid me way back from the handle bars.
