Hello-I have a 95K1100LT and replaced the clutch housing/engine output shaft
O-ring about 13,000 miles ago. It appears that I now have trans oil leaking at the clutch release pushrod. There is oil at the pushrod rubber boot and oil at the pushrod front where it comes out of the trans input shaft, there is alot of oil at both locations and has leaked out of the weep oil in the clutch housing. Any advice on the repair. Thanks for the help.

It sounds to me like it needs at least one new seal, maybe 2, maybe a new boot, and a new felt wrapper on the clutch rod.
You need to find the specific source of the oil. It is possible for oil to leak past the front seal. It is possible for oil to migrate forward along the clutch rod if the felt wrapper seal is damaged or missing. It is possible for oil to leak out the back if the rubber boot is damaged (torn, cried and cracked) on not tight.
I'd start at the back because that is easiest. If the boot isn't torn or loose it should seal tight. But oil can still migrate forward past the felt seal. I think (but can't remember for sure) that with the boot and lever out of the way and the throwout bearing removed the clutch rod can be withdrawn to the rear. You may need the wheel and swing arm off. I can't remember.
Or pull the transmission and check everything with it off.

If the K1100 is like the K100 Paul is correct, you can remove the clutch pushrod from the rear of the bike. Not sure about the swing arm but would be fairly certain the wheel would need to be romoved.

Roy and Paul Thanks for the speedy response - since oil was leaking out of the weep hole in the clutch housing, I have already removed the transmission. The rear boot and clamps are holding the oil in, but I don't remember ever seeing that much oil in the boot before but it sounds like that end is ok. When I pulled the trans off the clutch housing I saw what I thought was alot of oil clinging to the clutch release rod and splines. Tell me how that shaft is sealed it looks like it is made up off different parts, what about the felt seal where is that located? The release rod slids out the front with some resistance but not much and the rod is not damaged. If you were there what would you replace and how hard woud it be? I have never opened a manual trans before.

There is no felt on the K1100 pushrod. The only seal for the pushrod is in the rear of the input shaft. It's almost impossible to replace this seal without disassembling the gearbox. This a fairly easy gearbox to work on, but if you never done this kind of thing, you might be opening the proverbial can of worms. Before you go a whole lot further, have you overfilled the gearbox?
