I'm thinking about removing and re-installing the tail rack on my '05 R1200RT for an easier way to mount a universal top case mounting plate. It looks like that will be an easier way to install the plate rather than trying to get my fingers b/t the rack and rear light casing.
My question is, do I need to torque the bolts to a certain setting for the tail rack when I put it back on? I don't have a torque wrench and I don't want to remove and re-install anything improperly.

Thanks

Somewhere on line there is a table of torque recommendations for various metric size and pitch fasteners. However I don't know where it is. I'd simply turn them down snug plus a small bit and use loctite on the threads.

Oops! I found it: http://www.cncexpo.com/MetricBoltTorque.aspx

I've removed mine many times and I tighten them snug (but not crazy of course) and I use some blue locktite.
