Since I have the tank off to tackle the fuel sender issue, I thought I would try to resolve the issue with the ineffective choke cable.
97 R1100RT- 20,000 miles: Moving the choke lever does absolutely nothing to impact engine rpm. Been that way since I bought the bike over a year ago. Previously I removed the box that houses the cable connections between the choke/twist grip and throttle bodies. It wasn't much fun!
Everything was connected and the choke cable moved, but the whole system just seemed ineffective.
My 96 Oilhead RT had a different cable system and the choke worked.
Before I dig it out again, I'm seeking input from those who may have gone there before.
Any guidance/comments?
Thanks
