Luggage problem!

I have a 04' R12 CLC and I'm having trouble with my side cases. It appears that the latch won't fully seat and lock in place. When you push it down it slides across the pins, but stays in the "popped" position, as if you had depressed the key lock. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm hoping, at the very least, it will be covered under warranty. Any info appreciated.

Talked with several dealerships and no-one has dealt with this problem. Surely I'm not the only one. Did I post this in the wrong forum heading? Any info appreciated.

I dunno, Tim. I think the cruiser bags are different from the R11 and K12 ones; and I haven't seen many R12 riders here on the MOA forums. You might poke around (and post to one of the lists at) the Chromehead site:

I also have an '04 CLC, and use my bags pretty regularly (I commute). No problems yet with the bag latches on my bike. I seem to recall someone saying that they had problems and solved it with some lubricant (in small amounts, I'm sure) bring used on the latch.

I'm certainly not aware of it being a "major" problem, and if you have a good dealer they should cover it without a problem, I should think.
