Striking, I agree, but motorcycling in only a straight line has little appeal.

I bet that drives the ABS nuts.

I would have liked to have seen him try a few turns.

Very interesting but it really wouldn't help much here in Ontario as studded tires were outlawed several decades ago. Pity. :( :ca

I was a bit disappointed in it ! When Max does a video it's good - the tires looked good - got me all excited - then straigh line driving - a burnout on the ice.
Big deal -
this would of been better http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czitkLC0O2E&feature=related
or this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-MyyDiBRio&feature=related with a HP2 or a G 450X or a G 650 X

I wonder who drew the short straw to stud the tires :jawdrop

I can't even walk on ICE...much less zip across it. He does seem to be rolling at a good clip at one popint. Howz about a Bonneville Ice Flats run!

The guy who studded the tires did a beautiful job.

As it turns out the pattern made the bike very difficult to turn. They'll be out on the ice again with new tires soon.

Right now Team Max is at the Sandblast submarine rally. We race tomorrow and it is going to be cold and wet. :hungover

What nobody outside of Team MAX knew was that we had the S1000RR with us in Cheraw, complete with the Generation 2 spike set-up. :deal

Well, if you took the front wheel off and stuck the forks in the ice, it might have some utility for ice fishermen as a quick way to dig a hole.
