I'm new to this forum so bear with me. I just purchased a 94 R100RT and can't seem to keep the rubber boots in place. That's the boot on the front shocks that fits into the fairing. Does anybody have a suggestion? Thanks Bob Fouts

Leave 'em off. Won't hurt anything. My bike has never had them (in the seven years I've owned it) and I (or it) haven't been any worse for the wear.

Glue them in with weatherstrip adhesive. Black.

I used silicone seal and it worked great. I had a lot of trouble keeping the gaiters properly connected until I used it.

They came glued in when new from the factory.
Here's the quote from the official factory service manual: "Secure sleeves with 'Sicomet 8200' adhesive. Apply one drop at isolated points (arrows)."
