If you, like me purchase oil filters from the dealer we get a bag of crush washers.
On the R1200C only two are used. The oil sump and the main drain.

What I'm supposing is if anyone wants to swap what they don't need.
I'm thinking what fits the "C" won't necessarily fit the "K"... etc.
I did have a box of all the odd sized ones my bike doesn't use. Why toss 'em?

I haven't investigated it past this thought but what the heck... Right?

Sound reasonable or just silly? :brow

I've always been under the assumption that if the crushring fit the diameter of the bolt you were good to go. I know I've used Mercedes-Benz crush rings on my BMW R1100RS, and our Audi with no problems, no leaks.

I'm not really sure BMW specific part numbers make a hill of beans in this situation.

It will be interesting to hear others opinions however!

It may not matter alot but I just supplied the correct BMW #s in case someone wanted to know what they need --I have an independent BMW shop so I only use the correct BMW parts. Tom www.rennsportmotorrad.com
