NICE! Someone's going to be eating some venision steaks this winter! I hate those damn things. Coming home from Spokane I had enough close encounters to scare 10yrs off my life.

My 14 year old son Blaine (on the right) had a youth license this year, a one time deal, and he harvested this 5 x 5 Whitetail on opening day. I had to work, but Colin, my oldest son, got to see it all. I hope we have a great harvest this year, and get the population down some.

Great job guys!! It sure beats seeing them laying along the road decomposing. Lost chances to feed those that may need it. I am not sure, but I think the bag limit in Ohio is 5. Come on over and get yourself a 300 pound grain fed deer!

Rich, Very nice Buck!! nice looking kids also, I think you should put it on the wall for him, something you, and he, will never forget. Some of my best memories are when I was afield with the boys, Although only one (out of 3) still hunts and fish regular, they all have an appreciation of nature. Infact I just shipped (with-in the past year) a mount to my youngest son, and I think he was about that age when he got it, he now has a house and I thought he would like it.

That is in the works, Den. I too have brought my 3 sons and even my daughter up to enjoy the outdoors, whether it be hunting, fishing, or motorcycling. Right now the three boys are so hooked I can't imagine them not wanting to keep on hunting, they are always "suggesting" we go out pheasant hunting, or whatever season happens to be going on at the time. My youngest is only six years away from leaving home, and already I am starting to feel it coming on. How the time flies, you have to enjoy the time together while you have it. My only hope is that they can always make it home to enjoy the same things we have grown to love doing together. A great wife and mother adds another great aspect to it all, she likes to come along for the ride, and there has been a time or two she out-fished us, which I can never understand because she usually has a Good Housekeeping magazine in one hand. She makes me realize that sometimes, we are just trying to hard!

Usename, we have lots of deer here too, I think that it is getting to be a problem everywhere. This is the first year that I know of that there were so many tags left over after the drawing, that for $3 you could buy additional licenses. I also heard that you could get them free over the net from the state game and fish dept, I haven't looked into that. Two are plenty for us, but I hope others take them up on it to help out with the over-population. Way too many of them litter the roadways, and I would much rather they were eaten.
