2000 R1100RT Upper Fork Bridge ??

:scratch How do I remove the upper fork bridge from my 2000 R1100RT? I've followed the instructions in the OME BMW service manual to the letter and rechecked with an after market manual. Still can’t remove the upper fork bridge. Has anyone ever, tried, done this, or know how? I‘ve applied heat, more heat, used a large Snap-On impact wrench , and a breaker bar with a pipe. I’ve also tried prying, applying more heat , cussing, throwing things, and praying. The thing won‘t come off.:banghead

Have you removed the center bolt? The fork tube caps need to be removed. The key assm. bolts will need to be drilled out to be able change the bearing. The center bolt holds it to the upper frame. The bearing is press fitted in the triple tree.

I had to replace the bearing after hitting a 2x4 at 85 mph.
