So a couple of local guys are looking at swapping out their shocks on their R11RSs and were looking for a spot to do that where they could get some help.
To that end, we're running a Tech day here at Casa Kbasa for any interested parties. Come hang around, get in the way or help and we'll provide the space, the tools and an afternoon of oilhead wrenching.
PM me if you'd like directions and I'll send them to you.

Dang, I am leaving SoCal Friday. I can change out shocks on a roadster in about 45 minutes, btdt. I would like to see how much fun it is on a bike with more plastic.

I'd love to be there Dave, but I'm riding the other way to NM for BBQ.

You couldn't have done this when I was in California, could you?
So now we need someone in the Midwest Clan to volunteer to do it. Where is BE in IN when you need him?

Sounds like we have a great space for a midwest tech day. So when are you going to have us up?

Change the oil filter and check the final drive fluid. Check my clutch fluid.
Hmmm, so is this a winter or a spring thing?

I'll draw this to the attention of my father and see what we can do. Lord knows that he has a huge garage complete with a full-size beer fridge to do a good tech day. He has something in the likes of a 8 motorcycle garage with a crap load of tools to do work with. Including a few special ones that he has made by himself at work for older K-bikes.

I could talk to the shop owner and see if we could squeeze one in, depending on how many sleds and quads there are and also depending on the snow situation. Two lifts, lotsa tools, diner next door, gas station across the street, grocery store across the other corner, and county airport across the other street. Also a good way to get your 'Rounder miles. dzimbric has been here (Hi!, Dan!). There is a Wally World and a Fleet Farm not too far away for those who want Mobil-1. We have Amsoil. If you'll want or need tires drop me a line. Would sometime in December or January suit?;) ;) First ones there get to help push machines out of the shop and maybe shovel snow.

Manic, I would love to come up for a tech session, but it takes almost a whole weekend to get there and back. I can make YB's place or Brad's in about 3 hours. If BE lives in Indy, I can be there in less than 2. Thanks for the offer though.
Brad we can have you changinf your own oil in less than 20 minutes. Checking brake/ clutch fluid in less than 5. Anytime you want to go for it, I am game. Unless I am moving or on the road.
