here is what you can expect

expect your rotor to go and take your voltage regulator and diode board with it

expect to strip the threads on your head when checking spark plugs

expect to have various electrical faults cumulating with your positive batter connector actually snapping and you riding 60 miles thinking its your clutch going due to poor low idle performance in 1st.................

also, expect all this if you purchased your airhead 8 months ago after it had sat outside for 13 years...............

yours from the west coast,

You can also expect to remember the trip because of the trials and tribulations you over came. If nothing happens, then the trip isn't worth remembering. YMMV.

What does YMMV mean?

Thanks for your posts about your trip,Bubba. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. As every piece of your ride calls out for your attention and you reply with TLC,it will become so reliable that your next ride will be around the world!!

You are experiencing the majesty of the airhead:anyone can fix them, even no thumbs like me.

I wonder why they say "All thumbs"like that would be a bad thing? My experience has been that BMW jobs always require 3 hands...an extra thumb and opposable forefinger could be a good thing.Or a useful monkey's tail..
