Have had no luck finding a thin-walled deep socket for the spark plugs on my RT and can't use a torque wrench with the one in the tool kit. I recall seeing something on one of these forums by someone who welded a nut on the tool kit socket so he could use it with the torquer. Any other suggestions? Does BMW sell one that will work with a torque wrench?

I have been changing spark plugs in everything from lawn mowers to dump trucks for over 30 years. I have yet to torque a spark plug. If you have any experience in changing plugs, dont worry about the torque values. A little anti sieze, and tighten it down. I dont thing you will over tighten them using the supplied wrench with the screwdriver shaft.

Apparently someone on bmwrt.com sells a machined-down socket that fits. I happen to have a cheap-o spark plug socket that does fit, by just a whisker. I can never cross-thread it! It's a perfect sliding fit.
