Trans rebuild parts

I am getting ready to pull my transmission in my '96' r1100rt had it out last winter for a clutch and everything I have done is fine but I have a 2nd and 3rd gear skip that seems to be getting worse sooo! Before it bites the dirt like my buddy’s '99' RT did and completely loose a gear I am pulling it again. (I am getting to know bmw's pretty well) I have read that some of the internal parts are nla or upgraded are the OEM parts the best out there? does anyone put together a upgrade kit for these trannies ( that would be awesome)
What does everyone that has done one of these transmissions think?
And where did you get your parts?

if i was looking at having to buy a bunch of parts, i would use Chicago BMW, as they give 20% discount off of retail on OEM parts.
don't know of any aftermarket parts production for our bikes taht wuold be worth using. i did a recent clutch job on my 11S and asked about the ceramic racing clutches, and was told "racing application only- not good for street use at all".
our bikes are low volume items, so aftermarket support for many internals is not huge (unlike H-D, which has a huge aftermarket supply line- but tehn again, they really need the major upgrades to get them to run right).
