I voted via absentee ballot the other day, so for me it is over. It's good to do your civic duty.

Same thing has got me wondering if either canadate is worthy of the office! I remember a time when canadates talked about about what THEY would do not just about what the OTHER one hadn't done.

Stopped listening to either side a while ago, which just leaves thier previous volting record to base a decision on.

what ever happened to Pat Paulsen for President?:dunno

I'm lucky up here because I don't live in a swing state and don't have to watch all of the negative ads. My girlfriend was in Miami a few weeks ago and said that it was unreal all of the crap that was on the airwaves. Bob Schieffer from Face the Nation was on Larry King last night and said that at this point he didn't even care who wins, but that he just wants it all to end. Pretty funny to hear from one of America'a most respected newsman.

That's too bad, but at least if he was elected he couldn't do any damage!

With all the dead people who are going to vote in this election it would make sense if Pat Paulsen won. (The Dead Voting Team from Chicago is showing other municipalities how it is done. Here in Michigan we are expecting between 550,000 to 1.2 million dead to vote. Power to the People - be they live or dead.)

[i] Bob Schieffer from Face the Nation ......one of America'a most respected newsman.

Say what????? I'm so sick and tired of him telling me his opinion rather than facts on Face the Nation I could spit. He didn't do too good on the debate and does marginal on Face the Nation. But he does work for CBS and is MSM. I'll give him credit though. How he can sit there and not jump over the desk to strangle some of his "guest" is beyond me. After a couple of minutes of putting up with their BS and not giving an answer to my questions I'd be looking for the plug. Come to think of it, I have pulled the plug on a couple of his programs.

(Rant off)

I just wish the goobers spending our money travelling the country would tell us their plans, not how awful the other goober is. I live in a battleground state. WTF is a battleground? this is an election, not a war. I really really really cant wait till this crap is over.
I am sure it wont end till december, because whoever loses will sue the crap out of everyone because the election was illegal/crooked/rigged. Like it is the first time there have been illegal votes cast in an election.

I believe polls should be banned 30 days prior to the election, and let the people make up their own minds. Polls can be worded to make the results come out any way the pollster wants them to. I personally lie my ass off eny time someone wants to poll me, and I am sure I am not alone.

If a campaign ad is truly false and can be proven, it should be banned, and an apology should be broadcast the same amount of times the ad was, at the liar's expense.

The Kerry campaign has a whole herd of lawyers poised and ready to file suit in several states over election results. He has already stated he will not concede the election like Gore did four years ago. We may not know who the next President is until 2006! :dunno

My feeling, if you don't vote, you don't get to complain.

I am actually flying home between two business trips just so I can vote.

My feeling is that if you don't pay income taxes you don't get to complain. :brow

I also feel that everyone should have to get their gross paycheck and then write a personal check for their taxes.

Amen to that!

I am fed up to the point of wanting to schedule an office appointment and then hunker down and defecate square on the work area of some executive's desk in protest of the mindless polls and even more mindless talking heads purporting to be knowledgable.

Put accurate information in the airwaves and let the people decide.

And they're not alone, in FL the Republicans are sending lawyers to challenge voter registration at polling places in heavily Democratic areas hoping the long lines will discourage people from exercising their right to vote.

I don't live in a swing state but just watching the various TV stations and their coverage is enough to make me sick. Mostly lies or half truths about each other. The news is so biased these days you have to research the facts for yourself if you want the truth. I'll have to agree with Roadcrave on how this turns out. Check out Psalms 118:8,9.

Just don't depend on the Internet for all your research. There's more garbage and biased reports floating around in cyberspace than Dan Rather ever dreamed about! :brow

That's why The Daily Show's coverage on Tuesday is going to be called "Election 2004: Prelude to the recount."

I have resisted this political entanglement until now. I will be voting tomorrow for G.W. My union, in it's infinite self-interest, has provided me with a paid day off so that I can exercise my sufferage. I will offer a token, down-state vote for the Republican in a futile attempt to compensate for the vote of a dead Democrat in Chicago. Cynical?, perhaps.
