Hi, I have a 86 k100rt with the stock shield, its the one with the little wings on the sides, the fairing windshield works fine for me , but my pillion gets buffeted at upper highway speeds ,so then she has to lean way forward to try to get out of the wind. Has any one had, and overcome this problem?

Thanks
Brian

The K100RT came out with three different screens, the one you have, a summer and a taller winter screen. The taller winter screen will solve your problem and keep the bike orginal. The shorter summer screen is a must in the summer, and there's only a couple screws to change out the screens. JON

I have a friend who put a Cee Bailey taller windscreen on his KLR 650, and then put a Laminar Lip on top of that.

They make a lip for your bike. Here is the company link: http://www.laminarlip.com/products.php

I have used the parabellum WS for 15 years after month of abuse by the Summer Shield. It will not be listed in their website but if you call them they may still have it. I know they have the replacement shield. I found my last adaptor on the used market.
