Now I finally have real gas mileage range on my K1100LT. I found an 8 gal Randoff tank for my bike.

Since my wife and I ride two up and pull a Bushtec trailer our gas range has always made us the weakest link with the group we ride with. They are all riding one up with no trailers. Well we won't be the weakest link anymore. The extra 3 gals of fuel will put us above the mileage per tank range of the rest of them. The K1200RS we ride with will now be the gas guzzling empty tank king.

The tank is off at the painters for a color change to match my bike.

I think I finally have the bike set up perfectly for the wife and I to travel with. I have a Wilbers shock, and fork springs. Staintune touring exhaust, sounds like the stock pipe but much lighter. The Bushtec trailer allows us to bring enough to camp in comfort(room to bring the margarita makings ;) ). I have a shelf up by the windshield that holds the Satellite radio, GPS, & radar detector. The wife keeps the remote for the satellite radio so that she can change the stations when she pleases. The only down side is every time I talk to her on the intercom she tells me I am interrupting a good song. I can live with that.

How about posting a picture of the finished product.
Or can you refer to a web site where they be seen.
Thanks

I have a 1996 K1100LT, I have welded the stock exhaust and it looks like it needs it again. So I am thinking StainTune. However the last time I looked at the website they said Ok for the K1100RS but not set up for the LT.

Do you know the part numbers of your set up ?

Are You happy with it ?
