Anyone else live in a state where you can vote early (and often for you Chicago Democrats) ?

Wife and I are off for a quickie ride to vote this afternoon.

Voted yesterday 10-18-04 in Tennessee. Early voting started on Saturday and lasts 10 days (I think) closing several days prior to the general election. There has been so far a large turn-out as was expected by local election officials.

I hear there are no actual polling locations. Everyone votes by absentee ballet. That's great - trust every USPS employee as a voting official.

We are still using a mechanical machine in Connecticut. There has never been a physical hard copy of my vote. And the folks in Florida have filled lawsuits over that. Guess they would rather have chads!

I recieved my absentee ballot today. I can't make it home from college this year to vote. Indiana is a waste of time to vote in if you don't wave the big red R flag for the president. However, the governor's race is a dead heat. I've met both the candidates through my job and have to say that the support people for Mitch Daniels are real buttheads, whereas Governor Kernan makes a point to track you down before you leave and thank you for your work. His wife even tried to get me to try a beer with her one time. They are some good people. Sorry that turned into a political rant.

The early voting here in Colorado is just like normal, except earlier... Walk in, the usual hubub and vote. Get your little sticker and off you go.

Also voted early in Tennessee. Hmmm.... the dems were so upset in Florida last time but if Kerry wins we probably won't here a thing from them about the machines.
Too bad Gore couldn't even carry his "home" state in 2000.
Put up the big red "W" over TN again

Here is a sample of the online voting ballot in Florida.
Personally designed by Governor Jeb Bush himself.
You can try it out right here.

I voted for the fourth time today. Boy this is fun. By utilizing Michigan's little known multiple voting option I feel my vote(s) really count now. Not like last election where I had to live with the miserable prospect of voting once - where is the joy in that? I will probably cast my ballot(s) another 6-8 times before getting down to some serious voting on November 2nd. Julie is a little behind having only voted twice, but she is planning on catching up this afternoon. Wooo-hooooo - I really think Nader is going to take Michigan after all.
Life is Great in the Great Lakes State!
(The preceeding post was a lame attempt at early morning humor in the hopes of getting a rise out of some readers. The resemblance to a real post is coincidental and was not meant to harm any readers.)

Voted here in Wisconsin yesterday! I have a very bizarre work schedule so I wanted to make sure that I was able to vote. By the way, I hate to throw a wet washcloth on the joking around about voting multiple times, but after the last election, a kid from here was interviewed on the street at college in Madison. He gave a sarcastic answer on national TV that he had voted several times. The authorities arrested him, rifled his dorm room and siezed his computer. Unfortunately he had a side business of making fake ID's for his buddies. Feeling it necessary to make an example of him, he was kicked out of school. Last I heard, he was still trying to keep from getting sent to prison. So much for free speach. Gotto keep them terrists off th' street!!

I voted last week. The precinct I'm in is too small for the county to actually put up a polling place, so I always vote by absentee ballot.

I have to say that I don't appreciate the electoral college much. As it is right now, it will take me and two friends here in California to balance out one voter in Wyoming.

The college kid can say what he wants but, he'd better learn when to be quiet. Illegal Id's would not have been found if he had used a little better judgement.

That is like the guy who's driving 85 mph down the interstate smoking a joint and then gets pulled over and busted for haulin meth or pot and wonders just what the heck went wrong! Go figure:dunno

Sounds like a terrorist to me.

Vote Bush, it may be the last vote you are allowed before he suspends free elections to combat the evil doers.
