View Full Version : R1150R tires
Has any tried the Metzler ME 880 tires on their R1150R? I am presently using MEZ 6 Metzlers at present front and rear. These tires work fine but I am wondering with my riding style ( camping gear and sometimes 2 up) would the 880's work as well or better?

my buddy loves the 880s on his 1150RT, even tho his dealer tells him they only belong on a K12 Light Truck. i'd guess that if the sizing is right, and they suit your riding style, then why not?

go to r1150r.net for many answers about this model. tires are talked to death (as fast as they are ridden thru). look for me by the same handle there and if you are in the tampa area of florida look for me on I-4.

The 880's are going to last a lot longer than the MeZ6's, but probably won't handle quite as well. The Michelin Pilot Roads fall somewhere in between.
