Well, BMW has taken away yet another dealership for no good reason that I can find. Hattiesburg cycles will no longer be selling or doing warranty work on BMWs. When I started riding Beemers there was a dealer in Pensacola, ft. Walton, Mobile and just about every major town in the south. Now it will be a 200 plus mile trip for me to visit a dealer. I also heard through the grapevine that the dealership in Baton Rouge is loosing theirs. Why is BMW doing this? Are they trying to get out of the motorcycle business or something? I love my beemers but this may be the last straw for me with them.

The Hattiesburg dealer always put a lot of its bikes on Cycletrader and eBay. It's never a good thing to see a Euro dealer disappear.
That said, is this a case of BMW pulling the plug, or the dealership itself dropping the BMW line? I had thought U.S. sales of BMW's was actually on the rise, but still I suppose there are a lot of challenges to dealerships/service.
At any rate, sorry to hear that a well-known BMW dealership will no longer be selling BMW's, which translates into greater distances to customers who need products and services.:cry
