Newbie from Canmore, AB

I'm new to the world of BMW motorcycles. I recently bought a new-to-me 2002 K1200LT, and I'm loving the ride. My previous bikes have included a number of Hondas and Yamahas, going back to my first in 1964, a Honda Super Cub. Then an early 70s SB400, followed by a 99 Roadstar, which I still have and ride. I've been retired for a few years, and have been doing a fair bit of solo touring through Canada and the US. My wife will be retiring in June 2010, and we plan to see a little country together on the K12LT. The get-together in Redmond may be on the agenda, not too far for us, we're located in Canmore, Alberta which is a little west of Calgary in the eastern Canadian Rockies.

I hope to meet a few of you down the road!!

Hi Robb, greetings from your neighbour to the East. Another CDN BMW pilot is always a good thing. Make sure you hit some rally's with your long distance machine- Lunatic Fringe which was right next door in Cochrane last year, a great BC Beemers event in the summer and the big one, the MOA national rally in Redmond, OR next July. Maybe I'll see you on the road!
