The Weather is here to stay.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm a Weather man baby,
And I’ve sold all the real nice days.
I’ a weatherman baby,
I told the blue skies to go on away
I’m a weatherman baby
These gray days are here to stay.
Let’s get off our high horse, baby
And we will savior the sweet
And take on just one more day.
It’s cold out here, baby,
The wind is dancing
For us
while we ride this way
Keep bike moving
And get those miles in for the day.
The Weather is here to stay.
Hmm...
I heard MSP received snow with some limited accumulation a few days back. For today, 45 as a high, but running back up to 60. Be happy and go riding! I think you have a bit of time before the "horribly cold and snowy" pattern emerges...
Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever sunlight remains to them ?
Today I am raking leaves because snow is expected Thursday night into Friday morning ( great for colored leaves with snow photos ), rain the weekend for the GS School and Hermys open house.........oh well it will be Indian Summer next week or should I say Native American above average temperatures expected. :laugh
It's like 20 degrees colder that it should be around mid MO.
It ain't terrible, but better than this weekend at a shooting competition in Iowa when it snowed all day.
The Weather is here to stay.
And that's not all...
It's very clear
Our love is here to stay ;
Not for a year
But ever and a day.
The radio and the telephone
And the movies that we know
May just be passing fancies,
And in time may go !
But, oh my dear,
Our love is here to stay.
Together we're
Going a long, long way
In time the Rockies may crumble,
Gibralter may tumble,
There're only made of clay,
But our love is here to stay.
Geez Hugh, I get all your quotes, should I be concerned?
I wore the grooves out of Four Way Street and now have it on CD. I'm not sure which of the 4 spoke that line though. I think it might have been Graham Nash.
Well I'm leaving for Daytona in the morning, rain or shine. the weather is a tad cool (60's) but I'm not taking any heavy gear. I figger my draft jacket with both liners should be good. I can always remove liners as needed. I plan on visiting BMW of Daytona on Friday, hope to see some of ya'all there. Kenny...:bolt
Snowed about 6 inches here yesterday,still almost 4 inches on my driveway,and about 1/2 mile to the pavement,but,figure I'll head to town on the Bumblebeemer to go check for mail. Should make for an interesting ride, ( 25 miles,round trip) .I just snapped this pic 5 mins ago.. I am a rounder at heart,altho'I no longer post in the Rounder site.
Thanks! My RED long johns, tested in a Manitoba winter, should do the trick!
It's hard to think that might be possible when it's in the 90's and sunny here today!
Well, it WAS an interesting ride,and the road conditions were only a part of the interest.Less than 1/4 mile after entering the USA,on the International drive,the local Sheriff was only too pleased to write me up,for 46,in a 30,which lightened my wallet to the tune of $145.00. I did resist remarking that I have food in my fridge older than he is....
Whoops!
Let me guess, then he said "Ride safely and have a nice day".
*snicker*
Sorry but that's pretty funny, Nose.
I don't know if it's my face or just handling the situation badly but I got wrote up for the first time in almost 20 years last summer in beautiful Dodge County, WI.
He had me at more than 20 over in an 55 but knocked it down to 17, saved me some coin. ($109 and a corner off my "tote 'n' chip")
If he had come over the hill a little sooner he would have had me at well over 100.
C'est la guerre!
Seeing that it was a 30 mph zone was it a residential area? They are a little sensitive about that.
I feel for ya.
I see you have a sticker on your bike that says, "Ride It Like It's Stolen," and you were doing so I suppose when you got that ticket!
Funny! I was doing a hundred plus (briefly) on a long empty stretch of road two years back when I saw flashin' lights fast approaching from the rear. Sure 'nough a police cruiser, so I pulled over and....he went right on by. Headed to an emergency of some sort I suppose. Whew! I sighed with relief. I think at 35 over as I was, is an automatic loss of license in Iowa.
