Has anyone tried this? Is it even possible? I'm getting kind of tired of constantly having to spend time fussing with the electrical system on my '76 R60/6. I love the bike and don't have any intentions of selling it anytime soon so I'm not worried about it affecting re-sale value. I am also not a purist so I'm not bothered by it not being all original so I'm thinking I would like to give the Vapor gauges a try. As always any advice is greatly appreciated.

There's a couple of guys over on ADV who are raving about the Acewell, same idea as the vapor, but a littlme more old-school looking, and it has the idiot lights built in.

Pretty much the same price, when you look at the Vapor plus the idiot light dashboard.... worth a look-see, anyways!

Thanks for the input guys and thanks for the link, rpeckham136133. I just checked out the Acewell site and they look like very nice units as well. Bikerfish, was install pretty straight forward?

correction- she put them on her R80/GS, not her /5. Regardless, it was an easy install for me, as i left the house for a ride in the morning, and when I came home in the afternoon she had it all done. i think she said that has to recalibrate the speedo/wheel measurements, but that is no big whoop either.
