Doctor! Aint there nothing I can take DOCTOR?

Today I worked at home for I am sooo sick with a head cold...I think headcold?

Could be the Pig 102 flue whatever it's called? I don't know.

Anybody else got this crud? Or is it just Minnesota! I've been so careful washing my hands and stuff, I am sooo bummed to be sick!

I think that's the remedy for an aching head of a different nature.
Not that you would know anything about that but Harry might. (Well not anymore)
Anywho, iirc you want chicken soup, lots and as hot as you can stand it.
Fluids and rest.

OR . . .
If you can take solid food and like spicy go for something like oh, I don't know . . . . Kung Pao Chicken and eat the peppers. (I usually do anyway)

Remedy:

1. fluids, rest, tylenol or advil
2. Over the counter Mucinex
3. apply a tincture of time. (usually 7-10 days):cry

Hope you feel better soon. :D

It may just be Minnesota. I spent two nights there early last week and I can say I didn't feel well at all, until I got home. I'm sure it had nothing to do with that oh-so-healthy sour cream dipping sauce you get with french fries, and the inability to get any decent amount of fruit at any restaurant anywhere in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. :stick

I suggest fluids, rest, and fruit. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, right? :dunno

Well, you should've called. I'd have brought you out to the house and given you nothing but apples, bananas, grapes, etc. :doh

Don't know if it's just Minnesota or not, but my wife was sick for several days with a nasty cold. She's much better now. Of course now the 18 year old daughter now has a major league cold, but with meds and steam, she's coming around as well.

had I only known!! :doh

It was a whirwind tour, which is also why I didn't have time to seek out good food. Plane ticket Friday night, flight on Sunday, return flight on Tuesday night. I ate vegetarian the following day - a man can only handle so much restaurant salad and burgers.

I still think fruits are good when one is ill. Lots of vitamins, and they are not in precessed pill forum. On top of that, they are tasty and help with keeping fluids in your body (at least a little since most fruits are juicy).

My girlfriend, and her daughter, had their bout with piggy flu start with what seemed to be a head cold. After treatment with antibiotics (!), it recurred a month later (big surprise ).
i am apparently immune to it

Thank you for your comments

I worked today, and it was horrible, I should have stayed in bed!

But now I'm home with SO and SON fawning over me, cup of hot tea in hand

I am here to say I am a lucky man:wave

Glad you're getting such good care, Dale. Sympathy goes a long way towards recovery.

Is anybody else a fan of raw bee pollen? It contains all the amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements needed to sustain life. One ounce per day will provide all the nutrients your body needs, but only has about 80 calories. Anti-oxidant levels are extremely high, too. It even contains trace amounts of HGH (human growth hormone).

Dale - sorry that you've been under the weather. Hopefully you start feeling better very soon. I got an awful, hacking cough 2 weeks ago and it is finally diminishing.

I just need more sleep and less stress. (...like a lot of others who are reading this, I am sure.) :D

When you recover tell me what I can take - Doctor - to releive this head ache - I said DOCTOR - to extricate this song from playing non stop in my mind. Till then I'll just put the lime in the coconut and hope you feel better. I'll put the lime in the coconut to deal with the stinking snowy weather.

I could send you the MP3 if you like John and you could set your player to repeat.
:ha :stick ;)

Maybe not a good idea though, you might "Jump Into The Fire".

I have a friend who swears by locally produced raw honey. She claims that it has immunization effects by containing bits of whatever's floating around in the air in your particular neck of the woods. A few teaspons a day in a cup of hot green tea.
