The Michelin Macadam 50 on the rear is wearing out. Size 4.00 X 18. The previous owner put them on and I like how they ride. Where can I order these online with the best price? One more thing, I need a new inner tube, right? Thanks

I run the same size on my R100RT. I switched to Avon after trying the Michelin. I like Southwest Moto Tires. Here is the link to the Avon page (I'm shopping for tires, too). I have purchased from them before and been pleased with the service and price.

as long as the tube has not been damaged in any way, I change the tube every other tire. some riders run them longer, but I don't...

I'm a belt and suspenders kind of guy, so I change my tubes every time I change tires. Look at it this way, that tube has as many miles on it as the tire, and its really not that much more money for peace of mind. Just my 2 cent.

OK, I checked out the superstore and they don't have 4.00 X 18 but do have 120/90 H 18. Will this fit or be too wide?

Ok, do the math... a 4.00 x 18 is 4 inches wide. a 120/18 is 120 mm wide. I don't have a conversion chart in front of me, but it's not that hard to figger out. they also make 90mm, 100mm, 110mm, wide tires. hope this helps. Kenny...

corrected for accuracy. 1" = 25.4 mm.
