Hello,
What are reasonable prices for a 1972 R50/5? The paint is pretty good with the exception of a few scratches on the aft side of the tank (but no dents). The bike runs and passes PA state inspection
Thanks,
cjack

I'm sure some will have an answer, but it really depends on the buyer and seller. The right price is the one that buys it. If it were not running and was generally a mess, I'd say less than 500 dollars and plan on spending at least $2000 on it. Since it runs well and looks pretty good, and if I had one like that, I would like to get something like $2000.

There's an R50/5 for sale over at IBMWR as one point of reference:

A search of all craigslists has a couple of bikes at prices ranging from $2500 to $4000. There's a low mileage on on ebay for over $6500.
