I want to change the final drive lubricant, is Supertech , full synthetic 75w-140 gear lubricant ok ??? matthew ,,Sorry to be a bother, i forgot to call the dealor before they closed ,was out riding..:clap

You can use Mobil 1 also in your final drive. Any oil that meets or exceeds the manufacturers specs is usually good.:D

I went to a synthetic gear lub on a 1987 K100LT with no problems so far. There has been favorable feeling about this change. The bike now coasts and shifts better.
I have now gone from motor oil, brake fluid and gear lub with no problem. all seem to have the same results.
On my 1977 R100S with over 100K (when i sold it) showed no internal engine problems and the painted bolt (green paint for locks) was still like new.
