The Sushi was great, as was the after party. Fatty Tuna yum!
Great company, and rubbed elbows with some really influential people in the industry which will come back to me in the future, me thinks! Unfortunately, however my company was not chosen in four different categories where we were nominated, and received only honorable mention.
Hanging out in uptown Minneapolis untill the wee hours of the morning is a rare thing for me!
We had one design achievement win on design of a new playground at one of our larger communities though...HA! Not what we were hoping, but that’s how she blows!
I had a great time and thanks for all your comments!
Especially you, Chris!:hug

Regardless of your companies performance you were still in the game, you played in a very tough market during an unusual time in America history for real estate. Furthermore Minneapolis is a competitive place with their high tech green mentality mixed with historical preservation and new design to attract future taxpayers known as consumers, and investors. Sadly all are fighting for resources that are the new normal but it still sparks innovation and foster growth through productive business partnering.
There are many opportunities coming out of innovation, Pittsburgh for example did well after the steel industry collapse, they learned to catered to the recession proof jobs of health care and education to save their city. Today they managed to be the host of the G 20 to show case their success to the world and who knows Minneapolis is not far off the business model.
The main thing about being an honorable mention it is just a step away from MVP and your company will see what it has to do by learning from this years MVP.
All the best.
