A few weeks ago I signed up on a site: BMWR1200GS.com
It appeared somewhat new, but had a number of posts on the new style format screen. Within a day or two it disapeared. Anyone one else? I have tried to find it by changing some of the letters around, etc and 'error' ! Not the end of the world, but it seemed a legit site. Got it from a Euro friend and he can't figure it out either.

Guess: they forgot to renew their domain name.
Domain Name: BMWR1200GS.COM
Registrar: TUCOWS INC.
Whois Server: whois.tucows.com
Referral URL: http://domainhelp.opensrs.net
Name Server: NS1.IPOWER.COM
Name Server: NS2.IPOWER.COM
Status: redemptionPeriod
Updated Date: 25-aug-2009
Creation Date: 15-jul-2008
Expiration Date: 15-jul-2009
Notice the Expiration Date. I'm guessing they had a 60 day grace period which expired. The listed name servers don't seem to be serving the domain, anymore.

Thank you very much.
They had actually been trying to sell the site for a while or looking for a new partner. My guess is that it fell through and they just let it all close down. Too bad. I liked the site and the lay out.

Ooops. An old report (July) from WebTrafficAgents had a guestimated value for that site as.... $10.67 with a potential annual earnings of $4.49. For comparison my site is worth $434.60 and bmwmoa.org is worth 6,641.66. I haven't a clue as to how site values are calculated by these folks. Amusing, if nothing else.

I'm not sure about the WebTrafficAgents thing. They think my site is worth $2.46 with annual earning potential of $1.04 (which is less than I get every day).

It seems by buying a Megamoto I'm a fringe on the fringe, or is that fluff on the edge, whatever, its hard to find other HP2 folks, and the HP2 pages I have found cater more to the Enduros than my bike.
I wonder what that web agent values my site (http://www.bmwz8.us) as, I''ve run it for almost seven years, and never made a dime off it, but I never set it up as a commercial venture, more of a hobby.
Talking of my site I put some more shots up in the Two Wheeled section, as I can post as many pix as I like there, any way I want, thats the joy of having your own site! :-))
