$9.18 million white house in Nantucket...

No,
it would be that white house that George Bush's friends put George W. Bush into.

Nice try. The real map is nearly solid purple. Or are you trying to suggest that the lower the population of a county the more 'american' it is? I call bull****.
He was, for many, the lesser of two evils in 2000. He is now, for perhaps even more, the greater of two evils.

LOL.
Well...sorta - I believe it gives a less than perfect representation of the will of the people. But, no, that's not my point.
That red/blue map is Very popular amongst shrubies as it makes it look like he won by a landslide - which is hardly the case.
Here's a state by state map with the color tint adjusted to how the populace voted.

If you want to break it down by county, this map isn't quite as clear (using lighter shades instead of blending), but it also proves the point.

Quite the mandate he got there.:huh

Scott, would you like some cheese with your whine? ;)
Way back in 1972, when I was too young to vote, but old enough to care... with a ponytail and a (spiritual) membership in the SDS (http://www.factmonster.com/ce6/history/A0847020.html) (but not the Weathermen), and Richard Nixon won the presidency in the third largest landslide in America hisory, I didn't agree with the Electoral College either.
Now that I'm older, arguably wiser, and have worked my ass off to build a business, send my kids through college, pay my share of my employees' payroll taxes & heathcare insurance, and my share of the 80% of the taxes that all us evil 1%-ers pay, all while trying to fund my retirement (someday), I have come to see the sheer brilliance of our Founding Fathers. (http://www.faqfarm.com/History/Founding/2528)
If John Kerry becomes our next president, everyone might not agree with him, but given the situation in the world, what else can a patriot do but support him?
Have a good day, Scott. I'm going riding.

Interesting argument. That you once thought the electoral college flawed and now that it has elected a president you agree with who gave you a boost in the wallet makes it right? I am sorry. But I am not that shallow. I hope you are not. Nor do I believe that your greater income grants you greater wisdom. Or are you trying to argue that you are a better citizen because of your income? :brow
Whatever your position, do not doubt for a moment that a Patriot knows to question our elected leaders at every turn.
p.s. if you wish to continue this conversation, I'd suggest Jo Momma or at least a new thread rather than further sullying what was a Caption Contest.

No.
I noticed my margins tighten noticeably, beginning in August of 1999, and my clients *all* reduced their budgets for 2000.
2000 continued the decline, and we barely broke even.
We lost money in 2001, and 9/11 kicked the crap out of us.
2002 was a continuation of 2001, until the end of the year, when budgets improved and we were back in the black
As 2003 heads toward a close, business is coming back in a very steady manner... and let me tell you, if *my* business is ticking upward the economy *is* improving.
A 6% increase in taxes will keep me from staffing up.
