For MDCruiser and others.

On the following roads watch for loose gravel on tight turns especially on inside of turn. These are supposed to be fun roads for bikers.

From Parkersburg Rt. 50:
Top off gas here, Next gas in Zanesville about 60 miles.

At Amoco Station go straight on Rt. 50 or left on 618 thru town until it rejoins 50.

Go right on Rt.555 (N39 16.323 W81 41.495) Lots of twistys, switchbacks, and hilly terrain. Loose gravel on tight turns demand constant attention. Be on lookout for farm equipment.

South of Zanesville, go left on Rt.60 (N39 54.645 W82 00.081)

When 60 joins 22/146 go straight Stay on 146.

Turn right onto Rt.666 (N39 56.865 W82 00.040) Hilly with twistys, very scenic route thru Muskigham State Park.

Turn left on Rt.208 (N40 07.247 W81 59.932)

Turn right on Rt.60 (N40 07.126 W82 00.936)

Turn right on Rt.541 (N40 15.286 W82 02.942)

In Coshocton turn left on Whitewoman St for Roscoe Village
Great place for R&R. Good food and a B&B on Hill St called Apple Butter Inn.

Bear right on N Whitewoman to Rt.16 (N40 16.839 W81 52.519)

When Rt.36 joins Rt.16 go straight on Rt 36 (N40 16.949 W81 52.418)

Turn left on Rt.83 (N40 17.091 W81 52.071) Sweeping and tight turns thru Amish country. Watch for buggy's, road apples, and Amish farms ( no electric lines ) Amish restaurants in this area offer sit down full meals with great pies.

Left on Rt.39 (N40 33.251 W81 55.037) in Millersburg

Left on Rt.3 in Loudenville (N40 38.136 W82 14.006)

Turn right on Rt.97 thru Mohican State Park (N40 36.356 W82 15.592) An easy scenic ride.

Turn Right on Rt.309 in Galion (N40 44.588 W82 45.073)

Follow Rt.309 to Lima and Rally. (N40 43.854 W84 03.224) About 270 Miles total from Parkersburg.

Anyone interested in taking this route to Lima? It's never too early to plan ahead (at least for those of us who stay in B&B's/motels -- they will quickly be reserved in Lima, I think).

Excellent route suggestion Ol Salt, RT 541 is a wonderful road and newly paved.

Ol' Salt:

Any chance you could attach it as an Excel file, instead of an .mps file? Those Mac users among us can read the former, but not the latter!

Not to worry if that's not possible -- copying and pasting is NOT that hard to do, and I really do appreciate your help in finding a good route.

Thanks again,
Michael

Michael:
I don't know how to do it, but if anyone can it would be Bradford Benn, the resident geek!
Just kidding Brad!

Yea, I know how to do that. There are two ways to do it.

The first is to open the file and select "Export..." from the file menu and then save the file to a "Text File (*.txt)" this file will contain lots of information but is platform independent. Excel can import the file in various levels going back to Excel 2.

The second is to open the route by double clicking it under the Route tab. Then go to the directions page and select all the directions. (Probably easiest done by clicking on the top line and then holding down shift while clicking on the bottom line) Then press control C to copy the items highlighted. Launch Excel and paste the information in.

IMHO the second option provides better information as it resolves the street names. However then you have to save the file back to an older version of Excel if you want to be friendly and let older machines and software use the file... which is the nice thing to do.

Make sense?

Hope this works for you. Saved as excel file for mac!

It says it's attached but I can't tell if it is or not.
