Tried to start my neglected 1993 K75S (riding R80 airhead a lot!!!) and at one point when the battery was losing cranking power it seemed like when I let go of the start button it kept cranking????
My buddy who owns and knows something of K75's says that it is possible to "weld" the relay contacts under these conditions i.e. low battery starts.
Anybody heard of this and which relay would be affected??
Regards,
Jim

I used to get as many as a dozen calls with this issue each spring. Voni got so she could answer the question if I wasn't home, she had overheard the answer so many times. Weak battery can cause the starter relay to stick. Step one - disconnect battery. Step two - fully charge battery. Step 3 - repair or replace relay. (Repair might range from whacking the relay solidly with a screwdriver handle to opening the case and dressing the contacts)
