Anybody got a good source/site for R-12s replacement tupperware?

Specifically( facing forward), right and center fairing hoop, instrument cluster dash, and kidney grill covering on which windscreen and mirrors are attached.

Much thanks.

You can try beemerboneyard.com, the prices are usually good if they have the bits you're looking for, as compared to buying them new.

Hi,

Everything you mentioned in your quest for R1200S tupperware parts is currently on eBay Germany. If you don't speak German (like me) just use Google translate to ask if they will ship to North America for a little extra cash... almost always the answer is yes.

Not for the faint-hearted... but have you looked here?...

I have Ilmberger's R1200S hugger. Research will tell you that their stuff is first class in every respect.

Shipping was inexpensive dia DHL from Germany and the overall cost was lower than US distributors and certainly less than any Canadian option available to me.

I have also purchased CF directly from Nigel at Sandbar Composites (UK distributor for Ilmberger) and the total cost including DHL freight was extremely competitve.

You'll like the R1200S on their front page. Nigel's personal ride for the moment.

Cheers,
Ian

Just slapped and snapped the new parts and my scoot is good to go again. Amazed at the ease of assembly. Thanks for all the advice and counsel and kind words. After four weeks of riding around without mirrors or instruments and jury rigged oil cooler, it's nice to be back to OME.

You got pictures of the new parts on the bike?

My 4 y/o Dell laptop screen broke six months ago, so I've been limited to my Verizon Blackberry for Internet access. Although I took pics of the carnage for the Insurance, haven't learned how to interface PDA with Canon camera for Internet posting (Kids at Foothills Bmw will attest to the successful transplant.) Apart from scared valve cover and JB Welded headlight attachment "ear", things are pretty much up to snuff. Yesterday, me and my 4 y/o put 40 miles on it going to watch his brother's High School Regional tennis match. The restored fairing plus heated hand gripes were much appreciated in the 50F Denver weather. We'll be hunkered down before the Piper Inn Sports Bar for tonight's Rockie's home game, thoughj. With temps in the 20's, a 2 mile putt to the big screen will be hard core enougjh for the little guy.

Thanks for asking and go Rox!
