I usually post in the Airhead section [I have a '74 R60/6].
I have been told that a k-bike steering stem/ triple clamps will fit my R60 steering head, and that the tube diameter, however, is larger; this is an optional mod on some airhead/sidecar rigs to increase front end rigidity. I have a sidecar on my bike.
Does anyone here have any insights to this? My R60 tubes are 36mm dia.
Thanks,
Richard

Good luck.

The K1100 (and K100 16V) forks are larger in diameter and the triple tree is different than the K100's. I just replaced the front forks on my K100 RS 16 v and had originally bought some K100 forks thinking they would fit, they didn't. After doing some research it appears that the K75-K100 forks/trees up to the 16 valve are the same size. I do have a set of forks and tree for sale if you need them.

Thanks, John - at least I now know the stanchion size.

I have been researching a few things on my possible fork swap. Are your stanchion tubes 41.4mm [1.630"] diameter? Is the measurement across the stanchion tube bores in the tree approx 9 1/8" [outside-to- outside]?
Could you check these dimensions for me, and let me know? Thanks.
Richard
