getting new RT - 03 or 04

I am looking at a new RT. Are there any differences between the 03 and 04's? Second questions -I would like to put a set of crash bars on it - what knid, from where? Thanks

I think '02 and '03 are the same. I believe '04 is the first year of the dual plugged motor. Supposed to be a big improvement. Might also be the first year of the improved power assisted brakes.

The 04 has the dual spark plugs and I'm not sure what year the front changed from the single square headlight and the heavier looking front fender.The 04 has 95 horsepower and gets about 45 miles per gallon. Buy the 04 and you'll have no regrets. It's just a great bike!

With jugs sticking out all you need is valve cover protectors, not crash bars. They are a BMW accessory.

I live in Michigan, however, I am planning on puchasing a new 04 RT in California around December. May I ask you what the going price for the 04 RT's is out there right now? ;)

Also, I believe that the 04 model would be the right choice, due to the duel plugging.
