i have a 02 k1200lt it seems that when it is cold outside 55 or so the gas sticks it makes the curise stick or shut off any ideas thanks

Heated grips on? If so - the grips are expanding enough to cause binding on the end. Fix is to find the binding and make clearance.

LT's also had a problem with the stock throttle cables failing and making the throttle very difficult to operate. BMW has revised cables to retrofit this problem.

Other areas to check are the micro switches on the brakes and clutch lever. These have been known to also cause random failures of the cruise control.
