K100RS steering damper?

:dunno I have come across a good used steering damper for the older K's. I'm told it's for a K100RS4v. Have talked with local dealer and they say it should work on my 85 RS. anyone have one on their ride now? and if so does it make a difference? Also, anyone have an idea how challenging it is to fit? Thanks

I no longer have my 85 and it did not have a damper. But, unless you you have aftermarket fork braces, steering head bearings in primo and properly adjusted condition and you actually notice handling issues at sustained high speed, I would question the bang for the buck in adding one to your 85RS.
