While reading up on the history of the K75s, I noticed that the horsepower rating for the European model was somewhat higher. Is this due to emission equipment? Is there a way to get this power back? I am sure this has been covered here before, but I can never get the search function to actually find anything (operator error I'm sure)
Thanks in advance

Hi, Tomsljr,
The (earlier?) Euro K75 bikes and, supposedly, the very first USA ones, had an 11 to 1 compression ratio and were rated at 75 horsepower AND (supposedly) required premium fuel. The later ones (including all 3 of mine) have a 10.5 to 1 compression ratio and are happy with regular unleaded (or leaded, for that matter).

Thanks,
I have #232 of the first US k75s's so maybe it is possible I have one these higher compression models.
