Hi everyone,

I have a 2004 R 1200 C and I'm looking for a windshield. I went to a BMW dealer just to find out it will cost me around $850 (mounting + labor). Is there any other cheaper option yet reliable? Any suggestions?

The R1200C hasn't quite attained "vintage" status. Recommend that the moderator move this for more visibility with the right crowd.

Moving this off to the OILHEAD forum - since the R1200C is considered an oilhead (aka chromehead..)

You can get a windshield for the R1200C from Parabellum, or Cee Bailey. Wunderlich may have them, as well.

Thanks! Ceebaileys has it but don't provide the mounting brackets, any ideas?

go over to Chromeheads.org and pose the question there - I'm sure you will get some immediate responses to your question.

I put together an extensive FAQ for chromeheads for C windshields, with photos, names of vendors and the mounting hardware requirements are shown, too.

Of course, knowing which version of handlebars you currently have on your bike is important, so here is the FAQ on C handlebars (BMW bars only, not aftermarkets):

We have a pretty significant Marketplace, there is a For Sale section and a Wanted section:
